Covid-19: Twenty-eight cases found near Selayang wholesale market

Twenty-eight cases and one death were recorded near the Selayang wholesale market which has a high number of foreign workers.

PUTRAJAYA — April 20, 2020: An area near the Selayang wholesale market has been found to have 28 cases and one death. A total of 2,064 samples were taken.

The fatality was a 36-year-old Myanmar man who went for treatment at the Selayang Hospital.

Health director-general Datuk Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah said the ministry hopes to screen more people in this location.

This area near the wholesale market and Pusat Bandar Utara are the latest two areas placed under the enhanced movement control order.
