MAY 18, 2020: The situation in both Vietnam and Brunei has been good in recent weeks, with Vietnam reporting no local infections for 31 days on a trot, but with two imported cases involving two local men who had flown from Russia about a week ago.

The cases brought the total in Vietnam to 320 but with no death. Some 260 patients have recovered.

For Brunei, the total remains at 141 after no new case was reported by today, to make it 11th straight day without an infection reported.

Four cases are being treated at the National Isolation Centre while 136 have recovered. One hundred and one people are under quarantine.

Under the first stage of a gradual easing of restrictions, restaurants, cafes and food courts are allowed to re-open but the number of customers will be limited and their movements monitored by the BruHealth mobile app.
