PUTRAJAYA — March 31, 2020: Six more deaths were reported today, when a further 140 new cases were recorded to make the overall total 2,766. The total death now is 43.
As at noon, 58 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 537. This means a recovery percentage of 19.4 per cent as opposed to the fatality percentage of 1.55.
Health director-general Datuk Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah said the highest number of cases involve two age groups — 26 to 30 and 56 to 60.
As of now, 94 cases are in intensive care, of whom 60 require ventilators.
According to Noor Hisham, Malaysia recorded its first foreign fatality following the death of a 40-year-old Indonesian at the Sarawak General Hospital early today.
