KLANG — April 23, 2020: Seven people in Selangor were found positive in random tests by Selgate Healthcare, a unit of the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS).
Five cases were from Hulu Langat, one from Shah Alam and one from Klang.
Selangor is targetting to test 5,000 people and has so far tested 3,408. Till now the testing has been done in Hulu Selangor, Puchong, Shah Alam, Klang, Sepang and Gombak.
Former health minister and chairman of the state’s Task Force for Covid-19, Datuk Seri Dr. Dzulkefly Ahmad, said the high-risk areas where the tests were conducted had been clearly mapped out.
The test kits are of the real-time polymerase chain reaction type approved by the health ministry.
