KUALA LUMPUR — June 18, 2020: Foreigners made up seven of the 11 locally transmitted cases confirmed in the last 24 hours, with the overall total for the country increasing to 8,529, but with another 127 patients having recovered there are now only 408 cases being treated.
Among the latest Malaysians to be confirmed, two worked at the Bukit Jalil Immigration detention centre. The other two were detected in Sarawak.
Of the three imported cases, two were Malaysians and one a foreigner who is a permanent resident.
Health director-general Datuk Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah reported that no new death was recorded, which means the death toll remaining at 121.
