Covid-19: Penang is now a green zone state

KUALA LUMPUR, May 5 2020: Penang is now a green zone state as all its districts yesterday reported no active Covid-19 case on the first day of the conditional movement control order (CMCO).

Others with no active Covid-19 case yesterday are Perlis, Perak, Kedah, Kelantan and Labuan.

The Health Ministry’s daily maps of districts nationwide indicated Seberang Perai Selatan was the first Penang district to become a green zone on April 18 followed by Timur Laut (April 28), Seberang Perai Utara (April 30) and yesterday, Seberang Perai Tengah and Barat Daya.

As of yesterday, the distribution of active Covid-19 cases in the 201 districts in Malaysia shows that there are 11 red zones (where there are at least 41 active cases), 79 yellow zones (where there are between one to 40 cases), and 111 green zones (with zero active cases).
