PUTRAJAYA — May 11, 2020: Parents are advised not to bring their children to public places and shopping malls during the conditional movement control order (CMCO) period.
In fact the government may even make this an offence if parents continue to do this, as has been seen after some conditions under the MCO were eased about two weeks ago.
While there is nothing under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act that makes it an offence for parents to do this, Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the government however expects parents to be responsible.
“The safety of your children is your responsibility. If this continues, the government will consider making this act illegal,” said Ismail at his daily briefing today.
The CMCO among others allows a maximum of four people to travel in a car and for many businesses to reopen.
