KUANTAN — March 24, 2020: Civil servants in Pahang will take a pay cut to assist those badly affected by the ongoing movement control order (MCO), with the donations from about 10,000 civil servants to be donated to the Pahang Covid-19 Fund.

It is estimated that the donations will total RM100,000 a month, with State Secretary Datuk Seri Dr. Sallehuddin Ishak saying today that hawkers, food truck operators, taxi drivers and many more have been affected by the MCO.

The state disaster management committee has also started a do-it-yourself initiative to help frontliners due to the shortage of personal protective equipment (PPE).

This will involve Puspanita, Bakat, Puteri Umno and several non-governmental organisations. Officials in Bentong and Penor prisons will get inmates to help prepare the PPE.
