JOHOR BARU — April 1, 2020: Some 611 people have been arrested in Johor for offences related to the movement control order (MCO) which started on March 18.

Of the total, 97 were detained yesterday while 117 have been charged for offences like voluntarily obstructing a public servant on duty or under the Prevention and Control of Infections Disease.

State police chief Datuk Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay thus wants the public to cooperate with the authorities and abide by the MCO to help stop the spread of the outbreak.
