Kota Kinabalu — June 15, 2020: All Malaysians and those with passes from Immigration entering Sabah from the peninsula, Sarawak and Labuan will no longer be required to earlier undergo the Covid-19 test.
Instead they will be required only to fill up a health declaration form and abide by the procedures set up by the state’s health department.
A statement on this latest decision was issued by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal today.
A few days ago the state decided that the same categories of travellers would no longer have to under a 14-day quarantine on arrival but must show proof of testing at least three days before arrival and be confirmed negative.
In line with the opening of hotels at that time, the state government was hoping that domestic tourism would pick up as a result.
