PUTRAJAYA — July 23, 2020: The number of new cases confirmed in the last 24 hours totalled nine, of which six were local transmissions affecting four Malaysians.
One Malaysian was also among the three imported cases.
One foreigner tested positive prior to being released from prison in Sabah while the other was positive before he was transferred to an Immigration depot in Kelantan.
Health director-general Datuk Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah said eight recoveries were recorded, bringing recoveries to 8,574 from the overall total of 8,840. The death toll remains at 123.
Noor Hisham further described the nine new clusters as being under control.
