Covid-19: Medical team from China to assist Malaysia

PUTRAJAYA — April 10, 2020: A team of medical professionals from China will be in Malaysia to assist in managing the outbreak and see how local hospitals are handling it.

The health ministry is also looking for possible collaboration with the team in conducting research on the virus.

Today, Malaysia also received 48 more intensive care beds from Beijing.

The transport ministry will seek the permission of the Civil Aviation Administration of Chin to enable AirAsia to bring the remaining 24 ICU beds on Sunday, said minister Datuk Seri Dr. Wee Ka Siong at Facebook.

All the beds are sponsored by Yayasan Petronas.
