KUALA LUMPUR — April 30, 2020: Kedah has joined Perlis and Kelantan as green zone states with no active case, with the last districts with active cases — Kota Setar, Kuala Muda and Kubang Pasu — given the all-clear as of noon yesterday.
A Health Ministry infographics yesterday showed that Lipis in Pahang and Sri Aman in Sarawak are also green zones. Pahang now only has active cases in Kuantan (37) and Jerantut (18) while Sarawak has 270 cases in 13 districts.
Beluran in Sabah was the only district which lost its green status yesterday after it recorded its first case.
There are 88 green zones nationwide as of yesterday, with yellow zones dropping from 61 to 57 and red zones still at 12.
A district that was previously a yellow zone (one to 40 cases) or a red zone (above 41 cases) could find itself turning into a green zone if its patients recover and no one is under treatment.
The increasing number of green zones in the past week is in line with the general downtrend in the number of patients still being treated.
In the red zones, the number of active cases have also been been dropping such as in Petaling which is now down to only 37 active cases, after nine recoveries yesterday.
