Covid-19: Malaysians arrive back from Italy

SEPANG — March 26, 2020: Malaysia today brought home 66 of its people and five foreigners from Italy, which is currently the worst hit by the pandemic.

The special AirAsia flight arrived at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport this morning as part of the country’s Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief mission.

Also on board were five Ministry of Health staff, one from the Foreign Ministry, 20 airline crew and one officer from the National Disaster Management Agency.

All of them had to undergo health screenings at the Air Disaster Unit at the KLIA before being transferred to the monitoring centre at the Higher Education Leadership Academy in Nilai for a 14-day quarantine.
