PUTRAJAYA — March 30, 2020: Eateries and supermarkets can only operate between 8am and 8pm during the second phase of the movement control order from April 1 to 14.

In line with this food delivery services will be restricted to the same business hours.

“Currently we find that some supermarkets operate until midnight. Therefore we have decided at today’s meeting that supermarkets as well as restaurants can only operate from 8am to 8pm,” said Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob today.

Eateries will continue to be restricted to takeaway services only while petrol stations will also open only from 8am to 8pm.

Public transport will remain available from 6am to 10am and 5pm to 10pm while taxis and e-hailing services can operate non-stop from 6am to 10pm.

Ismail Sabri also said the new ceiling price for face masks will be RM1.50 per piece effective April 1.

“Not many face masks are locally produced so we are also bound to pay the price of imported masks,” he said.
