KUALA LUMPUR — May 10, 2020: The conditional movement control order (CMCO) currently enforced is being extended by four weeks to June 9 although Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said several positive results have been achieved throughout the MCO.
He made the announcement on the extension during a live telecast on national television today.
The MCO was started on March 18 and then extended three times, each lasting two weeks. The condition MCO was imposed from May 4, overlapping MCO# which is due to end this Tuesday.
Under the CMCO certain sectors of the economy are allowed to resume full production while the operating hours of many segments of the retail sector were extended to end at 10pm instead of 8pm under the MCO.
