Syed Azidi Syed Aziz -- aka Sheih Kickdefella -- posted a short video clip which he said showed nightclubs operating in Kota Bharu.

KUALA LUMPUR: Kickdefella, a prominent blogger who recently exposed prostitution in Kelantan, the state proclaimed as the Corridors of Mecca, has come up with another interesting posting.

In the latest instalment of his "Agent Johnson series", posted yesterday, Syed Azidi Syed Aziz -- who blogs under the name Sheih Kickdefella - and often writes about issues affecting Kelantan -- posted a short video clip which purportedly showed discotheques/nightclubs operating in Kota Bharu.

“Agent Johnson has just completed Operation Disco-Dut in Kota Bharu Bandar Raya Islam,” the blogger wrote. “Agent Johnson waded into three entertainment centres, two of which served alcohol, and one of which operates until dawn. They’re all in Kota Bharu Bandaraya Islam (Kota Baru, the Islamic City).”

“We know Kelantan’s PAS government issues licenses to sell liquor on the grounds that alcohol is not prohibited by other religions like gambling is,” he said.

“But what about licenses or permits for entertainment centres to operate until late into the night? Are these issued by the Kota Bharu Bandar Raya Islam Municipal Council? Are people of other religions allowed to mess around until late at night?”

“Or,” he added, “is the excuse that even in Mecca there are places where people fool around until late at night?”

The blogger said the full video would be released soon (and also shown to relevant authorities) “to show what’s happening in Bandar Raya Islam while Pas leaders are busy making speeches in order to take over states under Barisan Nasional on the basis of wanting to cleanse them of vice and unhealthy culture.”

Kickdefella first exposed vice activities in the state last February, when he gave details of ‘Operation Johnson’, in which he was able to document prostitution activities in various locations in Kota Bharu, including Jalan Hamzah – not far from the Chief Minister’s Office – and even near a police booth in Taman Limau Manis.

The blogger wrote another post on the issue in October, showing that action had not been taken by the authorities since his earlier posting, and that prostitution was still going on in the same areas of Kota Bharu.
