  • Proton announces in-car internet
Proton is the first brand to offer in-car internet in Malaysia

Mobile internet is hardly special these days as most people with smart phones are linked to the internet and can access almost everything that it offers while on the go but so far no car company has offered in-car internet that is part of the features of a vehicle and this means Proton has beaten all the compeitition.

The system will consist of a mobile wireless router that is plugged into the car's power system to provide internet access at all times when the car is running. The car' micro wireless internet system can link five devices to the system.

Proton plans to integrate the in-car internet system with a real-time diagnostic system and location specific services such as roadside assistance, vehilce location system and security enhancements.

Proton says the in-car internet system will be made available as a standard feature on their soon-to-be-launched P3-21A.
