The presence and behaviour of Bersih demonstrators on Petaling Street has disruped traffic and scared tourists away, blogger Double Y says.
KUALA LUMPUR: Blogger Yuseri Yusoff says a group of Bersih demonstrators were behaving aggressively on Petaling Street this morning, provoking police and frightening tourists:
A group of Chinese demonstrators began to flood into the Petaling Street area, interrupting the flow of traffic. Most of them were not in the “sit-in protest” position that they said they would do.
Instead they just screamed, ranted and raved among themselves to provoke the authorities, but the authorities looked professional and didn’t respond to the provocations.
This group of 1,000 people, most of them wearing Bersih 3.0 shirts with the ‘Ubah’ logo which was a DAP slogan during the Sarawak elections.
The appearance of these demonstrators caused traffic to be disrupted due to their gathering in the middle of the road, forcing PDRM to send several officers to control traffic.
It appears tourists are afraid to come near the Petaling Street area.
