KUALA LUMPUR — April 23, 2018: The Sungai Buloh-Serdang-Putrajaya Mass Rapid Transit line is making good progress, with construction being on schedule and more than 24 per cent completed.
The company views the level of progress as a good sign to ensure that the project is completed within the time set.
“Overall the progress has surpassed 24 per cent and we are a few weeks ahead of schedule.
“This is a good sign and it is important to be ahead of schedule in the early stages because we do not know what challenges await us,” said Mass Rapid Transit Corporation Sdn. Bhd. (MRT Corp) strategic communications & stakeholder relations director, Datuk Najmuddin Abdullah, to reporters after witnessing a fire-fighting and rescue operations demonstration at the site of the Bandar Malaysia station today.
Based on the current rate, it is believed that the project can achieve completion similar to the timeline set for the Sungai Buloh-Kajang line.
The SSP MRT is expected to be completed by July 2022 and will have 35 stations, including 11 underground, along a 52.2-kilometre route. — Bernama
