KUALA LUMPUR – June 21, 2017: A former PKR leader wants to know why the party’s secretary-general Rafizi Ramli stopped exposing alleged corrupt practices at the Selangor mentri besar’s office.

Badrul Hisham Shaharin, a former Rembau PKR division chief and popularly known as Chegubard, said it was weird for Rafizi to stop doing so, especially after he had made “a very loud public statement” about the matter just three months ago.

“A lot of people are disappointed with Rafizi because he had been very up-front when he first aired out the flaws at the MB’s office.

“Why did he stop? Was Rafizi blackmailed by those in PKR or has he been handsomely compensated for keeping mum about such practices?” Badrul rhetorically asked at a press conference today.

Rafizi had in April dropped a bombshell of an allegation which said that money and women were regularly requested in several business negotiations with the state government, particularly the ones under the MB’s office.

In addition Badrul Hisham also questioned why the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has appeared to be inactive in pursuing the matter.

“As I recall, Rafizi lodged a report with the MACC and like Rafizi, the MACC too has been very quiet about it.”

Badrul was sacked from PKR in August last year for damaging the image of the party and causing divisions among members by defying party orders.
