KUALA LUMPUR — December 19, 2016: The percentage of prepaid uses among Celcom Axiata’s customer base is expected to rise from 74 per cent or 8.28 million users.
Celcom reported last month that its total customer in the second quarter stood at 11.23 million while in the third ending September 30 it went up to 12.51 million.
“We expect our prepaid customer base to grow as well as our market share,” said the company’s chief marketing officer Zalman Aefendy Zainal Abidin today after the launch of the new prepaid SIM starter pack for Xpax.
The new starter kit costs RM10, inclusive of free basic data for Internet and Facebook users.
The latest campaign, named #nokelentong is aimed at reducing complexity and offering four affordable Internet plans with no quota splits.
It offers 10GB of free basic Internet and free 10 gigabytes for Facebook usage.
The new starter pack consists of a RM3 reload plan for 1GB (daily), RM10 for 2GB (weekly) and two monthly plans — RM30 for 5GB and RM50 for 10GB.
“Celcom understands the issues that prepaid customers face, hence the new starter kit, supported by 4G network, which will further enhance and simplify their Internet experience,” said Zalman Aefendy. — Bernama
