KUALA LUMPUR — Aug. 18, 2019: PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Azmin Ali today slammed his party’s Pasir Gudang MP Hassan Abdul Karim for asking Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad to step down.

This is because Azmin feels that PKR MP should not be making such a call but instead should focus on the development agenda of his constituency.

Additionally Azmin claimed that the PKR leadership has expressed its stand firmly and strongly supports Mahathir to continue as PM.

“Thankfully, under one year of Dr Mahathir’s leadership, we have laid the right foundation. I believe now is the time for the implementation of policies that have been set,” said Azmin after a World Stats Congress 2019 run at Dataran Merdeka.

On Wednesday Hassan stated that he was doing so because of the ongoing polemics and added that Mahathir seemed to be at a loss in handling various issues, on race, religion and the royalty. — Bernama
