American help sought in sex video case

KUALA LUMPUR — Nov. 20, 2019: The police have sought help from the United States in the investigation into the sex video implicating a minister, with the results expected before the end of the year.

According to federal police Criminal Investigation director Datuk Huzir Mohamed, a team was sent to the US recently to hand over the video to an expert who has experience testifying in court.

The analysis on the authenticity of the video and face recognition will be sent back soon.

If the case is brought to the court, maybe the expert will be called to testify, said Huzir.

Regarding Umno supreme council member Datuk Lokman Noor Adam who was reported to have received an opinion also from foreign experts, Huzir the police had recorded his statement.

“On the re-investigation into the Teoh Beng Hock case, Huzir said police will call 14 individuals, including his former colleagues and officers from the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission. 

Teoh was found dead on July 16, 2009, at Plaza Masalam in Shah Alam after giving his statements at the MACC office there. — Bernama
