All-round media man Ishak Nengah succumbs to cancer

KUALA LUMPUR — Aug. 6, 2018: All-round media man Ishak Nengah, 65, died this afternoon after suffering from nasal cancer since 2011.

A family source told Bernama Ishak had complained of breathing difficulties about 4 am and died at 12.45 pm at the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre.

He was buried at the USJ 22 cemetery after prayers at the Subang Jaya Masjid Darul Ehsan.

Ishak was a journalist four several years with the New Straits Times Group from the early 70s before working with the BBC Radio Malay Service in the early 80s. He was a public relations consultant and a part-time news reader for TV3 before becoming freelance master of ceremony.

The father of well-known hip-hop singer Joe Flizzow, Ishak is survived by his wife Aishah Ali and two other boys — Ashraf and Iman.
