SHAH ALAM — March 19, 2019: A Pakistani today recalled seeing firefighter Muhammad Adib Mohd. Kassim fall on his back after he was caught between a car and the Emergency Medical Rescue Service (EMRS) vehicle he was in that was hit by a reversing attacked by rioters.
According to technician Budd Mohsin, he was not able to see the firefighter’s face but learned from the media later that it was Adib. He later also saw a group of people who seemed to want to assault Adib.
The incident happened during rioting near the Seafield/USJ 25 Sri Maha Mariamman Temple last November 27.
Bernama reported that during today’s proceedings, the dark blue T-shirt worn by Adib on that day was tendered as an exhibit.
Also, a 48-second video clip recorded by Budd’s security guard friend, was played to provide the picture of the position of Adib who was said to have alighted from the EMRS vehicle. A CCTV camera recording by the Subang Jaya Municipal Council was also tendered as an exhibit.
Adib was badly injured in the riot and died almost a month later at the National Heart Institute.
