SHAH ALAM — May 27, 2019: The coroner today set June 26 for re-mention of the inquest after granting an application by counsel Syazlin Mansor to withdraw from representing three parties, including the family of dead firefighter Muhammad Adib Mohd. Kassim.
Coroner Rofiah Mohamad also requested conducting officer Faten Hadni Khairuddin to propose a suitable and willing physics expert to testify.
According to Bernama, another lawyer for Adib’s family, Ahmad Taufiq Baharun, told the inquest he did not have any other witness to call.
Adib was a member of the Subang Jaya fire and rescue station who was seriously injured during rioting outside the Seafield Sri Maha Mariamman Temple last November 27. He died on December 17 while being treated at the National Heart Institute.
