PUTRAJAYA — March 30, 2020: The country recorded its highest number of recoveries in a day today when 91 patients were discharged nut they were also 156 new cases, to bring the total to 2,626.
Ninety-four 94 are in intensive care, with 62 requiring ventilators. Three more patients also died in the past 24 hours, bringing total fatalities to 37.
According to Health director-general Datuk Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah, the 35th fatality was a 57-year-old woman with a history of diabetes, while fatality number 36 was a 47-year-old man in Sarawak.
The latest to die was a 46-year-old woman with a history of high blood and autoimmune disease. She died while being treated in Miri, Sarawak.
Noor Hisham also said the Health Ministry has increased its bed capacity for Covid-19 treatment to 3,994.
There are now 70 hospitals nationwide with Covid-19 screening facilities, up from 57.
