KUALA LUMPUR — June 17, 2016: 1MDB says it will file a robust response to the Request for Arbitration (RFA) on or before the deadline of July 11, as stipulated by the London Court of International Arbitration.
The company said it is confident of its legal position and has appointed Weil Gotshal & Manges to represent it in the dispute with International Petroleum Investment Company (IPIC).
“Weil Gotshal is a globally renowned, top-tier law firm, specialising in, among others, international litigation,” said 1MDB.
The company was today served with a RFA dated June 13 by IPIC and Aabar Investments PJS in relation to its ongoing dispute with IPIC. — Bernama
